- Make index cards with the names of the classroom instruments.
- Have the children sit in a circle when they enter the room.
- Place the name of an instrument in front of each child- face down.
- Teach the chant.
- What instrument shall you play.
- What shall you play today.
- The xylophone, temple blocks, cymbals or drum?
- What will you play lets have some fun!
- Have the children march around the carpet to the steady beat,
- stop on "fun", pick up their card, and find the instrument on their card.
- Kindergarten students will need you to read their cards to them.
- Resume the game allowing the children to play the instruments they just found.
